I've been waiting for years see what made this place great, and yet it's just felt like the titanic in slow motion...
What happened??

Notice the slogan is no longer “ We know what it means to serve”. You know why that is? It’s because the leadership has NO idea what it means to serve because they haven’t.
USAA used to be THE place to work, now USAA is a place to work. Everything that made USAA special left with Joe Robles
Wayne. Wayne is what happened to USAA. He pushed out retired generals and admirals from EC positions over the last decade. We only have Gen Bob left, and I think he's tired of seeing the BS.

If you have been waiting for years to see what made USAA great then it's probably time to leave the sinking ship. Go and live your best life.
Abuse your employees and all you’ve got is a two-legged stool.
Except bank is down 47% in net income year over year 😂😂 that’s after barely making 2 million dollars in 2023 hahaha embarrassing.
Compliance issues caused USAA to completely pivot away from what made them great and focus on complying with laws and regulations. That was the beginning of the "end."
Then Wayne took over and hired McKinsey consultants, who have essentially been the ones running the show ever since. McKinsey says "layoff" and Wayne says "how many?" McKinsey says "cut benefits" and Wayne says "all of them or just a few?"
Add on top of that the non military-affiliated EMG who have been hired in the last 5 years and you have a once-strong private company being run like a sh---y publicly-traded company focused more on quarterly profits than long-term strength.
They caved to the bs and that about sums it up..
