@3che+1kEXJERT you have no idea what you're talking about. This is talking about Lightning, Hummer, etc. Vehicles that are heavy as ICE and even heavier as EVs!!

Hummer EV weighs 5 tons. Imagine that hitting a Honda Civic.

Not sure if youn are being accidently obtuse or purposely obtuse. Neither is very good.

OP: "Simple physics! " - what about the huge and heavy SUVs and big "sport" pickup trucks with big V8 engines that have been around for years! Those are far more heavy than any electric vehicle with lithium batteries and nobody is griping about those being dangerous (even though they are given how fast people drive!).

You just don't like EVs because they go against your ideology.

Drive a pre-2015 pickup truck and you'll be fine

@agh. We have ADAS and safety features on gas powered vehicles as well, so they didn't fail to mention anything.

I saw this "news" story today on tv. This is nothing but a scare tactic scheme to get clicks and attention by the media to push extreme right wing talking points.

Did you notice that they failed to mention the improved safety of modern EV vehicles with ADAS and other near-autonomous features?
