Can someone share the zip code update? I know it came out but I don't have access to it at the time.

@fa It's a great feeling to log in every day knowing the company I work for hates me, wants me to quit, and could give 2 sh!ts about the negative PR it's doing to itself. World travels fast in STL too. They have completely tainted their reputation at this point to where now nobody is going to want to invest with them OR come work here. And all the GPs sit quietly while penny ki-ls the golden goose
@f5 I believe you're correct that being outside of the commutable range isn't the gift it seems. Ignore their words and watch their actions. Everything is about reducing headcount, and HBAs are at risk, except for the privileged few. Nothing about these RTO decisions surprises me other than the pace of change being so fast on the heels of ER -- unless you understand that pace of change and role uncertainty are key predictors of burnout and voluntary attrition. Then it makes sense: they've studied and know this and want you to quit. Line up the next opportunity while you reward them with minimal effort. And you might slide through anyway, because, as you know, the leaders here are too busy with social positioning to know about the work itself.
I was shocked they actually went and reduced the radius a little... but I have lost all trust and faith in leadership; I have to question everything they're doing because I truly do not believe it's in the workers best interest. It is, and from here on always will be, in the company's perceived best interest...
So with that said... why would they do this? Every post, every thought, up to this point has been saying "they hate HBAs and they're trying to get them to quit" and I don't think that's any less true now. The reduction was very minor, and with just two exceptions (both east of STL in IL) everyone I know who was previously affected is still affected. I think this is a surface-level reduction to be able to mislead associate opinion.
The question becomes, what's next? We all remember the "Sourcing and Shoring" and "AI" steps of the leadership plan... Will they force all outside the "radius" to move to STL or be terminated? Will they implement software tracking solutions (NEXTHINK) to flag minor infractions to justify terminations without severance? Will HBAs simply be given smaller annual increases, or less opportunity for promotion? We already know leaders are heavily de-incentivized to hire HBAs, even internal movements - and I know many personally who have never gotten to the interview phase for any internal positions while the hybrids I know have actually taken new positions.
Honestly, who knows at this point? I am pessimistic in effort to be realistic. I am glad for those who get to remain HBA like their hire agreements said they would be. I am sad for those who do not. I am worried for everyone across the board.
I recommend everyone, regardless of HBA/Hybrid/On-site, look out for themselves first and foremost. Jones has become "just another company" and "just another job". Treat it like one, because they're going to treat you like "just another employee", replaceable at any time regardless of how essential you feel you are. I watched too many people I thought were core to the company's success be let go or quit already.
@cb the FAQ also states no flexibility for picking kids up from school or dropping them off. I thought EDJ cared about families and work life balance? Fing liars and their ghoulish power trip. Good luck ELT, everyone hates you now and will now reduce productivity. slow clap...you id--ts have destroyed this place and made it a toxic sh1thole. Good job!
FAQ indicates move may need leadership approval lol…do you want to move or keep your job? This place is sooooo g-y.
@ag at best these people in charge are mo--ns and couldn't run a lemonade stand. Worst? Malicious psychopaths who are hellbent on destroying this place as quickly as possible so they can sell to the highest bid on wall street. Think it's a stretch? Why did penny change the rules of having over 50% GP approval for mergers or going public, right after they "reimagined" all the non kool aid drinking GPs who asked too many logical questions.
@bw anyone paying attention to the latest corporate trends to reduce head count should know by now that this, on the surface will look "reasonable". The catch will be when ELT decides to eliminate HBA all together, regardless of how far you live from HO. Remember, they hate us, and they want us to quit. Act accordingly :-)
@bv they reduced a few, but really most people were hoping for more. Tempe is a hike for someone living in Gilbert. Pevely is a hike to north campus STL and even des peres. But don't worry, if you decide to move after June 1st, you are still grandfathered in to come to home office. Not kidding. So, I'm thinking the other HBAs outside the 1 hr commute will be given the option of moving closer, or quit. We are in unchartered territory right now. Can't wait for the 3/4 meeting where penny will once again sh!t all over us and tell us how good it is for us.
@bv I was wondering the same thing. Is this a good thing for some people or is there alteriary motives at play?
Can someone help me understand - if they reduced the zip codes doesn’t that mean fewer people will be required to return to the office? Isn’t that a good thing? What am I missing?
@am It's called quiet firing. All the big companies are doing it in one way or another. PP wants to fit in with that east coast old boys clique`, and chubak is more than willing to show her how they do things on wall street to let those peasant level associates know who's in charge. All the leaders I talk to saying the same thing. Everyone is pi---d, everyone is on edge, nobody cares about going above and beyond anymore, development is a joke because everyone is burnt out, morale at all time low. Good job ELT, you destroyed a good company in record time, and you think it's neat.
@ac already had my suspicions on this becoming reality, but them reducing the radius really nailed it for me imo
@ak It’s like every policy is designed to encourage people to quit. PP is unfit to lead.
I have never felt so unvalued at a place of employment in my entire career.
What a poor example of leadership. What are we even doing here? Upsetting your entire home office workforce to gain one extra day in office and more hours in office per day? That will likely decrease productivity and associate morale. The only acceptable “why” behind this level of stupidity is they are hoping people quit due to these new policies.
If they actually think this is good for productivity and culture, we are doomed. Boomer leaders are not fit to lead in today’s environment.
@a9 Yup. This. By 2028 everyone will be in the office. Move to St Louis or Tempe, or leave. Period.
It won't matter anyway after the dust settles on this RTO. If you are safe now with being outside the lines, congrats, you will become the next target for parasites in ELT to fixate on. If not enough of us quit, they will just tell ALL hba associates to move to tempe or st louis. It will exclude the NYC hub though where davey boy and his minions reside.
@a7 No, appears to mostly be removals of the outer edge zip codes.
Was Warrenton added?
@a5 Thank you!
@a4 I'm not sure if any were added. It looks like some parts of Illinois were removed. I saw Wentzville was removed.
@a2 that's interesting. Do you know which we're reduced and which we're added?
Well not HR but thanks anyway.
It seems to have been reduced actually.
Nice try HR...
