Higher than everyone else’s.
That’s why that
Poor kid died because they jacked up his rescue inhaler up to over 500 dollars and they lost a lawsuit when they denied a ulcerative colitis member his dr-gs and he had to drop out of college cause his condition worsened till he couldn’t get out of bed. Story after story.

This was funny to watch ... " we are the only ppl saving everyone money " As he looks to the company lawyers he brought along to make sure he sticks to the script .

@ag well you might have called but don’t believe you would have gotten anywhere. A neighbor of mine had his high blood pressure med not delivered and guess what first some Optum person told him he never been on the med, than it took days and days to get hold of someone to talk to and after a week of the poor person calling his primary( who said we never stopped your med) finally reaching out and being on the phone and threatening them with if this man has a stroke you will be held responsible - low and behold they found the dr-g and emergently had it filled and they called personally but that was after almost 10 days . So dont say what they would have done and suppose to have done. Everyone knows the horror stories that are Optum.

I don't want to give ORx credit...believe me they su-k hard, but you are wrong here. He would have gotten notices of the change well in advance which would have outlined the many other covered products as well. Even if that didn't happen (which his family confirmed did), a pharmacist would have been able to easily share this info when he got the denial for the non-covered product. I hate that he died, but people are responsible for knowing their coverage and benefits and must advocate for their health with their doctor. To just not take a medication because it changed (and with rising costs that is an absolute necessity in our industry and not unique to our plan or PBM) is insane. Any one of us would have called someone that day to resolve.
