@m5 I would guess that it is somewhere in the APJ region as they are referring to the incompetant greek. Which country I don't know so it could be any number of ones where his reputation ain't well regarded
@h1 we've lost SE's this week? Which region (or country if you don't want to be too specific)? To echo another response, SE's are the lifeblood of any sales organization - without them, you won't be in business for long. All the ones I know are excellent, so if we are cutting any of them, that makes zero sense.
If you don't have SE's then you dont have a sales organization. I guess having zero sales org explains why revenue is falling off a cliff
@aq
What happens to you if you do not accept the offer?
@b3 no one is mocking you. We know you are a fraud. Pretening to be some wise guy. In reality, you'd crumble like a cookie if someone got in your face.
IHeartVantage I can tell you've never had to sell, meet customers face to face and support the Vantage mirage for the last 5 years.
You live in a bubble.
SE's have had their fingers in the di-e for years hanging on as dates slip, features get pulled, having to back pedal from promises made based on what they've been told by product.
You should probably sit this out.
It’s usually the ones recommending others be cut who really need to be cut. Bad attitudes.
SEs are a leading indicator. More SEs means more customers are considering TD for new use cases. Less SEs means the opposite. Only a dunce would think the SE team shrinking is a good thing.
@h1 SEs are really something you can cut, you don't need them to drive excellence and frankly there's been too many of them for too long... they don't build the products that make Teradata what it is and aren't driving excellence. SM is pushing this transformation in the right direction and those who don't agree the door is right there you can leave if you want to, buddy.
SE's being hit this week. Whilst the incompetent Greek jets around thinking people still listen to him, his lack of leadership experience is shining through as his team continues to shrink. Never have we witnessed such a low grade in our career than this one
@ax How incredibly arrogant. You must be a joy to your coworkers.
@ay you're not me why are you mocking me?
@ax I've been a Vantage engineer and worked on multiple product lines for the last 8 years. What have you done?
@aq can you tell me what you have done recently for Teradata? It's ok if you've been here awhile but sometimes the spark wears out and performance goes down, but you should accept this as a fact rather than blaming the company. Good work is good work but you gotta keep hustling you can't let it die down if you're 63 good chance you lost your drive
@aq That's sounds like the same severance from the blindside layoffs.
I got the email. I am a high performer so it was not based on that. I suspect the offer is age based to get rid of the high salary folks. I am 62.
Exit date May 31 2026.
Depending on your level 8 - 26 weeks severance (26 weeks is VP level).
RSU - an additional year of vesting.
2026 Bonus will be pro-rated.
30 days continuation Medical
18 Months Subsidized Cobra (you pay what an employee pays).
@ag You’re not the boss of us, Seper Duper Engineer.
@a9 You will receive an email if you are eligible.
@a4 stop calling me super engineer 😤. No I didn't get any emails because I'm doing my job
@a9 age + 15+years
How do you know? Would I have received and email if I was eligible?
Looks weak.
And down we go…
Hey Super-Engineer…here’s your chance.
