@aj , @ag here - all Lip has done is say obvious stuff that Dave and others have been saying for years now. Money, simple math, yes it is all true. (although I'd argue if saying we need the same headcount as nvidia OR tsmc is fair since they want to be a design shop AND foundry). The problem is, Lip has no vision. He has no plans, no wins, no plan to get wins. If you're going to toss Pat out like they did, hire someone with a plan. Unless the plan is to hack and slash. If that is the case, that is not enough to make up for the billions already lost in foundry. The foundry money pit is so much deeper than payroll. That will take vision, guts, execution. Lip is only good at executing headcount so far. He also has no passion for the company.
@b3 Appreciate the level-headed response. You are right it is -a- problem for various reasons including the post below that points out how some DEI hires are done a major disservice and not supported when they're in. I'm reacting to the constant vitriol of the MAGAgeers who blame everything on 'Indians'. Those who attack others with this kind of ad hominem and flat our racism clearly have no value add of their own. I was saying if this type of attitude persists at Intel, it will only expedite the downfall much like we are seeing in the United States in general whether it is the economy with these job hits or tarrifs, world stage, healthcare, on and on. Intel is now just a poster child for a company that has been taken over by incompetence and the only way to make it worse is for the few left over to start chirpin about they took our jerbs.
