Over/Under Many More Paychecks do We Have Left?

Earnings is in 7 weeks. The writing is big and bold enough on the wall that Intel will be left to spin around the toilet bowl until it plops into the sewer. New CEO or forced government action equals breakup.

Over/Unders for Current Staff:

  • 25% have 8 paychecks left
  • 25% have 18 paychecks left
  • 25% have 22 paychecks left
  • 25% will be around to enjoy the shameful distaste of their coworkers 3 months post-acquisition

You forgot about the part where Intel comes roaring back on 18A, and especially 14A, and consolidates x86 by buying AMD.

That’ll be right around the time the GPU product roadmap gets competitive, and fabs are ready to start making Broadcom ASICs.

They forecast a Q1 loss. As long as they don’t have additional bad news things will continue on.
