See if the TD VP 'refirements' were because they used contractors for layoffs, knowing full well those people would be brought back in a few weeks.

Then they got caught, and refired.

That, plus whatever is really happening with an IFS spin out, could lead to many thousands of TD and maybe some Foundry workers still to be cut.

There is a cost level and amount of fab capacity which is sustainable and Intel ain't there, so it is merely a matter of time before the next phase begins for IFS.

There has been so much less traffic on century, its been awesome. I noticed the new seasons by RA is dead. I start my new job next week, get fu---d Intel. Outgrow that sh-t.

@ae it is not that simple. First off, 108K is incorrect. This includes subsidiaries that aren't involved in the layoffs. Based the on the information in the Q2 earnings there were 96.4k Intel corp employees at the end of Q2. Over 5k have already been notified based on WARN data and other announcements. Don't forget when RTO is mandatory in Sept there will be more attrition and terminations related to this. Intel can easily get to 75K by the end of the year without having to have it done in just a few weeks. The numbers probably won't go over a few K at a time to keep it out of the news.
