If he does 5k and forces RTO for even 3 days, I bet that number will go ip yo 10k without having to pay any severance to the other 5k

@ae... what's your point? Intel is over employed by at least 30-40K based on revenue and no one cares why. At least this many will be cut. The company may still not survive. High probability that the cost to recover Intel will be too high given the time frame it would require. No one is going to listen to the "we will be the leader in 5 years" BS anymore.
@af... the warning signs were posted ten years ago if you are still here you deserve what you get.
RTO will most definitely come soon
@av, can't wait to see all the crying on here about RTO when it's announced. Going to be a big reality check for people who haven't come into the office in the last 5 years.
"b-b-but we won't be able to keep our talent!!!1!" ... Newsflash - Intel doesn't have any talent worth keeping
Yay, and fire CP and CS. No more cruise trips. No more BS diversity acts. 24 x 7 sweatshop else get fired
The RTO spam is back!!! Lol
Only 20% know how to do their job. The 80% can be cut.
5K?! 10K?! It’s gonna be more than that, kid.
The reason Intel is 'over-employed based on revenue' is because Intel isn't making products that customers are eager to buy.
Also, Intel has a very long history (many decades) of fuucking over our customers by over promising and (very much) under delivering. That Intel has any customers is simply because Intel has been giving away revenue products, just to keep the ones it still has.
It isn't a negotiation. Intel is over employed by at least 30-40K based on revenue. RTO isn't going to generate the voluntary separations you are expecting. The job market is tightening rapidly so people may want to leave but most won't be able to go.
