On my last day in the bp head office I hid 10 packs of cheese and several raw fish in the furniture and the ventilation shafts. Hope someone found it by now. Nearly 6 months have passed.

With the latest announcement of 5B cost cuts I think all you need to do is be patient and it will come to you.
I did it at a tech company. Let your manager know your contemplating quitting. Dont quit, and then try to go on a sabbatical. Your utilization goes down even if its a “benefit” of working at the company. Good luck!
I am trying to get laid
I raised my hand high (after 30 years) and am thrilled at the historical severance (maxed out at 16 months)....perfect time to retire....risk is I could get "offered" an equivalent position all the way up to departure and if I refuse then no severance...
I just quit. Too risky that they might keep me. True story 🤣
They messed it up by offering too much EOI last time, and now they're messing it up by not offering EOI.
Content to "manage the risk of disengagement". What do we think that means in practice? Force people to stay and somehow threaten them to work hard? Offer them another reinvent style share plan?
There is EOI in Germany :)
The fact that there is no EOI tells me it's not so much as cost cutting but it is bp's intent to fire certain people.
But there’s no EOI this time
During the first time I encountered a layoff announcement. many of my older colleagues almost trampled each other to get to their managers' office to have their names put on the list to be let go and receive their severance. There were very few who were involuntarily separated.
Bernard?
I would be thrilled to get laid off with a severance!
Who is trying to get laid off???
