With so many contradicting stories, I have no idea what to think anymore.

Yes, of course. They will come end of second and fourth quarter. It is to late for first and traditionally don't happen in the third but still possible, however store spinoff should be largely completed by then. They really would not classify as a layoff in the traditional sense though.
@c2 you know sh-t and even less so about International
@gf business cases = BC. Our system runs on licensed software but many custom business logic are built by few emp, and majority contractors. In addition, main platform issues are supported by vendors and more non employees.
@ft what is BC??? Wtf is an original service company or platform company??
Discussiom of parts of BC are being considered to be sold to service companies or back to original platform companies.
I volunteer for tribute
@c2 unless you are included in the next one
Nobody is talking about another massive hit, and I was someone who knew about the first one in advance. I am top rated so I would be included in the discussion. It's not happening.
@a5 1st quarter is over in 22 days. If they drop a eisp/riff now, they have a 30 day window. That puts us in April (the 2nd quarter).
Dan needs stock higher, God speed
Leading up to 11/20 there were several folks who posted on here that Hatchet Man planned to cut 29k employees. March 2026 (which is this month) was also mentioned.
If this is true (and I don’t know if it is but I believe it), then that means roughly another round of layoffs of 15k. Let’s see what happens.
@OP Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?
i did hear of more Rifs and and eisp for union .
There will ALWAYS be layoffs. It is the Verizon way. It's also the Verizon way to pretend they don't happen, and do them under the table. The big one on 11/20 was too big to ignore, and got national media coverage. But going forward, I suspect the layoffs will be more "traditional", where specific groups or programs are targeted to be shutdown, as opposed to another "20% across the board" type of action. The Frontier integration will no doubt result in "redundancies" being identified. Other areas that have been mentioned are parts of Enterprise, specifically overseas, so I'd expect some cuts there as well.
@Op...And why think about it? Don't you have something else in life to think of?....why live like that?...look somewhere else
@OP d-mbest question for today, and to answer yes there will be layoffs in the future. The same d-mb question will be asked again soon and hope its not from the same individual.
End of Q1 is our first hope
There will always be layoffs
