Water damage will be seen as an intentional act, better to set a large industrial magnet on top of it for a few days.
The magnet will draw out the viruses.
throw it in the trash
Keep them!

If you can't figure it out, your layoff is justified. What is wrong with you??
@a7 thanks again HR.
Severance portal has a checklist which includes how to handle equipment. You'll likely need to mail it in. They will provide postage.
@a1 cant they deduct it from your paycheck if you dont sent ti back?
Also seems like most people that got let go were remote as least form what Ive seen personally, would be surprised if many remote workers make it thru
Submerge them in water for 30 mins before shipping to ensure they are fully clean and free of any viruses.
@a3 thanks HR. Why can’t u be that quick on AskHR
The company will ship you packing materials for both if you are a remote worker. If you are an in office worker or have an office near you, you can drop it off there as well along with your badge. If you have a corporate credit card you will need to clear out expenses and then you can just destroy it.
