Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

No layoff announcement with quarterly results

Headcount already at 97K as per earnings report. Earnings are healthy. Poor forecast is not due to Intel's problems.

Good days ahead!

Most news is fake news to move the markets and nothing more.

I heard from a director face to face that this will be a very tough year. Buckle up.

reductions across the board, believe it. If you're group has 10 people, expect 2 to be cut and replaced in 6 months with Contract Workers

There is going to be layoffs - but over a painful number of months. God knows what it will do to the employee motivation.

The week is not over yet - wait for tomorrow’s ACM. Fridays are usually reserved for this kind of big news.

I left shortly after that. There was just no reasoning with the mass delusion.

I remember they flew some big wig in fancy suit from Israel to AZ to tell us a story about how they are the Walmart and TSMC is the Amazon and that they can definitely become the fabs for the world. Very grand story but no concrete execution.

Now it is almost a decade later and they are sending their best nodes to TSMC.

Hey OP, are you illiterate? LBT's email said cuts are coming THIS quarter. DZ said as much as well. No wonder Intel is doing so well with employees like you!

LMAO. Poor forecast is TOTALLY the fault of the Intel bloat. And ALL of you id--ts who have stuck around greater than 10 years

I forget how strong the Kool-Aid was.

The year was 2018, I talked to senior Intel engineers about AMD's new Ryzen products.
The reply was: "It's nothing new. We have the same technology. We can do the same thing too."

OP, how do you get earnings are healthy when the earnings per share are a loss and margins dropped while having a negative tax rate? If it weren't for the chips act money Intel would have bombed.

Don’t you read, LBT states “reduce the size” as quickly as possible over next several months. If you work at Intel, you shouldn’t, you don’t notice details at all.
