What the Singh are you taking about?

Yes. Demoted today. I'm back to the role i had 3 years ago. I suppose I should just be glad that I have a job. Everything is rumor at this point and not very "transparent" but I know there are others in my role that were not demoted. In the last 3 years, I've heard nothing but praise from my direct leaders so I honestly don't understand why i was demoted and others were not. I think that I haven't played the corporate game of self-promotion. I feel small and not valued.
I got reduced today. The leader said a bunch of stupid sh-t like it was down to performance but I’ve had high ratings. At least I get paid to look for something else. I know others who were demoted as well. Raw deal for everyone and my heart goes out to you.
Relax. The company said its new arrangement enables leaders and associates to determine the right flexible work arrangement that balances the needs of business, team and individual. This is not easy!
All isp in my area were for associates with less than 4 years tenure. They cleaned house with new blood and placed all the incapable people. Demoted people two levels down and reduced salary by 13%. Yeah… lovely
@ac sorry to hear that.
@a7 take the job and make them pay you while you look for something else. Do the absolute minimum not to get fired in the meantime.
2 people I know were ISP today and they had previously turned down the VSP and they are both Rule of 70. That’s all I’ve heard so far.
@ac How long have you been with Jones?
I got cut today. Penny also said we are all one Edward Jones (well, except the people we cut).
@a5 I got an ISP and I am not a long tenured associate. I have several Series registrations, a higher degree and branch facing experience. Still got told there’s no role for me.
Don’t forget the words of Penny Pennington “When this is all over we will experience joy!”
Got told my role went away and was offered a new unrelated role. It's a demotion. I have a few days to make up my mind. I know several that got the ISP. All tenured. I guess I'm supposed to be happy with the scraps they saved for me. It feels like quiet firing to save them $$$ for severance.
Everyone I know that got ISP were long tenured associates. It will be interesting to see what percentage of ISP are over 40 years old. They tried to minimize that with VSP, which was also extremely shady.
@a3 so sorry 😞
Got my walking papers.
@OP nothing but crickets today
