Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Jumping ship before they push me off.........

I've been through these so-called restructurings before at other places and its always the same ugly playbook... let's hire some consultants who cost more than the salaries we are cutting to tell executives what everyone already knew... Use the consultant's findings as justification. Then act surprised when morale tanks and the remaining people are burned out from doing 33 jobs instead of 1.

The worst part is seeing peeps whove been here for yrs just 100% checked out now. why put in effort when you might not even be here next month? The management wonders why productivity is down. I wander too...

I am done here 100%%...I'm already updating my resume and reaching out to recruiters. If you're gonna treat employees like expendable resources, don't be shocked when the good ones leave before you get the chance to fire them.

Intel management is not trustable. They just say whatever they want to say. They just make up fake things in meetings with a blink of eyes. Most corrupted place in the world.

@a1 wake up, the company has more that 30% too many employees. The products are stale while market share and margins are dropping like rocks. These cuts should have happened years ago.

OP, good plan... about 2 years ago. The job market su-ks and other tech companies are announcing cuts. The economy is treading water to stay afloat. How long do you think this will go on before it finally breaks? We are having riots and the military is being deployed on American soil. We aren't even 6 months into this administration so buckle up for the ride.

The irony is if you are first starting to update your resume now and start the job search now you are already one plus years late. No one wants Intel cast offs. Intel is a cancer on the resume. Yes, use the anger to fuel your fire to get out… but sadly for you the start of that process is too late.

30% cuts. They're calling it a ightsizing + "organizational optimization" but let's be real - it's just firing a 1/3 of us because the stock price isnt making shareholders happy enough.
