Notice period for voluntary separation (SVP)

I finally found something else. Took me 9-10 months. I don't remember what I signed in my contract in terms of notice period. Is 2 weeks enough for SVP or it has to be more?

@d3 Got it, thanks. Might as well give the two weeks just as a form of last courtesy before I leave...and not do any work while collecting pay :) The two weeks was built into my start date at the new place anyway

@OP SVPs do not 'sign contracts' and you do not have to give any notice at all in the US.

@ab what do you consider senior? SVP and Director are required.

2 weeks is optional and courtesy, one isn’t mandated to provide a notice period. That’s for senior leadership only.

Found it. I'm assuming that in the matrix on that policy if I'm not in a function where there is an X on the matrix for SVP's requiring 30 days, I can give 2 weeks and get the he-l outta here.

Folks - if you don't like it at Citi, stay positive, search and apply dedicatedly for an hour or two everyday (it can get tiring but give yourself a pep talk and continue), hit up your network etc...it takes time but it will eventually happen. I waited 9 months. Good luck to all those searching for something else

@a2 Thanks. Do I just search for the garden leave policy on Citi Hub?

Depends on your department. Look for the garden leave policy.
