Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

2025 STI

Anything less than 100% is corporate greed, plain and simple. The people who stayed are being squeezed dry doing the work of two employees while getting paid for one so executives can protect their bonuses and call it “strategy.”

But by all means, Dan, keep slurping your coffee and pretending this is complicated. If Hans is still pulling in millions, don’t insult everyone’s intelligence by offering scraps. There is zero excuse for anything under 100%. Anything less is a slap in the face, and everyone knows it.

If they want to do something, now is the time for comp adjustments. If I need money to invest in promos what's my biggest expense coming up? Bonus time. Maybe 80% to target. Then for 2026 shift more STI into base to save bonus in 2027.. or shift more base into STI to save money each month if the turnaround plans goes south.

I cant believe people are complaining. I got laid off in November. I worked my a-s off and did overnights to meet unreasonable stupid timelines. I am getting 75% as part of the severance package. Please stop complaining and do your work. You are lucky to still have a job. I lost my income and I feel anxious on finding another job.

@c7 who cares. It's a corporate job. What happens, happens. Work and save that little extra incase something ever happens in life. Never worried and still here 30 years.

@b9 - it is NOT 400.000
it is 4 million retention bonuses to Sampath and Tony

Sampath and Skiadis received $400,000 retention bonuses when 15,000 employees were sent home permanently. Corporate greed exists and it will continue.

@ac yes 100% or little higher. Verizon wants me working 40 hours a week. Why would I work longer. Verizon is a great company still. Maybe you work somewhere else

@ab fewer subscribers doesn’t mean less revenue when you’re raising prices. YTD revenue is up 2.7% through Q3 compared to 2024

The company is failing for years on end and you expect 100%. Let me guess, you’re still employed and work less than 72 hours a week as well. This is yet another example of the selfishness that has led to failure of a once great company.

@aa I have to agree with @a6. Less subscribers results in less revenue which is part of the STI criteria.

@a6 subscriber growth is not an STI metric

100-110% it could be lower but after every layoff or package to leave has always been better those years. Like 105 and higher

Well you should be prepared for 90% or less. Negative subscriber growth does not equal 100% STI.
