@a2 I am actually relieved to be part of the first wave. It's forcing me to get out there and find a new job. It's only going to get worse.
@OP The scary thing is T Mobile has a smaller workforce, but it has no wireline. It's 100% wireless. VZ is going to be smaller than T Mobile with a larger business. Customers and infrastructure will suffer. VZ is at a race to the bottom.

@ab If RTO 5 days is really happening, I’m actually glad I got laid off. I cannot do five days because I have family obligations at home.
RTO will happen. Part of the soft layoff numbers Vz will not look the same in 24-36 months. Legacy companies- Mci Mfs wcom do vzt will be rearranged to avoid impacting balance sheet.
There is a second phase indeed, although smaller, the new reorgs happening across the company is for the solely purpose of finding synergies alike, overlapping roles, getting processes streamlined, simplified and with less overhead...around Feb-.March is your timeframe
I’m hearing layoffs this week in India, more layoffs in the US in March 2026 and return to office five days a week starting in January. The layoffs I have a feeling are true, not sure about the RTO. This company is spiraling down the drain fast.
