Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

At this point, I’m not even worried about getting laid off

The way leadership expects us to keep pushing, working extra hours just to meet goals they pulled out of thin air is exhausting. I’ve already hit burnout twice this year and half my team is barely holding it together, but managers just brag about how they’re always online, answering emails at midnight like that’s something to aspire to.

That’s not dedication. That’s poor management. If this is the standard, maybe getting cut wouldn’t be the worst thing.

I’m concerned but not letting it ruin my life.
I won’t be making any major purchases for the next few months, like a car or home, but I will be taking a vacation and buying my wife a nice anniversary gift (15 years)

I'm paid hourly so I'll happily answer emails after hours for overtime pay at a minimum of 1 hour per email.
