@a3, I’m not in disagreement with you. Management, ELT is a huge part of the problem.
@a2, I agree with you, but I have seen this coming for a long time. The d-mbing down of interview questions for Engineers and Techs when Intel went through hiring sprees to get the perspective candidate to pass the Interview has some to do with why Intel hired such mediocre Techs and Engineers.

Yep. Blame the workers again. This may very well be the current situation but I'd like to point out that executives hire and fire employees and set corporate direction. Ignore it if you want to but Intel's demise was completely avoidable and Intel "Leadership" is completely to blame. That is the cold hard fact.
Congrats on figuring it out. Better late than never.
Intel has been doomed for a long time, and it ultimately comes down to the fact that Intel cannot attract world-class talent and ends up hiring mediocre engineers who want all the bells and whistles, while doing as little as possible.
