Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The TRUE Root of the Problem

I had a coworker tell me he visited Google. Told me an ex Intel guy there said IC’s are 10x as productive. The key is that the in office environment is so inviting and the free dinners are so delicious that people just forget to go home at night. Could you see doing that for Intel? I am a long timer. Intel was like that in 1999. People just had so much fun we all forgot to go home. Can LBT make that a reality again?

I remember and agree with the OP. "Intel was like that in 1990s. People just had so much fun we all forgot to go home". Then the MBAs took over our management and everything became all about bean counting and ROI (Return on investment). Stock buybacks, "Total compensation Package" no more stock options.........on and on. Never seen more bullsh-t paraded as intelligence in my life. The executive team and board of directors ran Intel in the ground and all made a fortune doing it. Some of them are still here doing it. Fu-k Intel!

Imagine that some how Intel employees don't understand yet that the Wellnomics software is both a hedge to avoid getting sued and a tracking software.

No true talent worker wants to be managed by an id--t that tells him/her/ham what to do.

Managers with no technical skills or experience have no place in a technology company. My manager is a star candidate who should be laid off

Most Intel managers just like a-s-licking people. They themselves are low end and could not give any proper technical direction, some MBA gave silly directions such as “we need modernization on (something already 10+ years old)”.

Honest and technical strong IC are the target of being shut down or isolated or insulted.

The Wellnomics software on everyone’s laptop is preventing people to work over 6 hours a day. People work longer or type faster on keyboard will be reported to managers as High-Risk, and will be stamped as violating discipline and tested as bad employee.

Intel is not an engineering company anymore. LOL. Joke in industry.

Uppwr management are a bunch of low skill haters with an inferiority complex to technically capable employees. They have convinced themselves that all degree holders are the same and interchangeable. It is a race to the bottom situation. This is reinforced by so called management consultants that hate even harder on anyone with actual useful skills.
