Thread regarding PayPal layoffs

Anyone else tired of the stock price?

For years I have watched my shares dwindle down to practically nothing. Day after day it’s just lower and lower. The CEO and CFO never address anything about the deteriorating wealth of its employees. It’s just exhausting and hard to work at a company that could care less about the value. The market is at ALL TIME HIGHS and we are at ALL TIME LOWS. It’s just ridiculous at this point.

@aa they just double the stock comp for execs if the share price falls in half. Meanwhile I’ve seen a lot of good employees leave for other companies while the low performers are staying.

I mentioned this once to an SVP (last year), saying something along the lines that we should figure out ways to compensate new hires that were under water and this person laughed it off. I don't remember what they said but something to the effect that there are no guarantees with stock and nobody should care all that much. They do not give two sh--s about the stock or how it impacts us. They're so wealthy they cannot relate to us little people. (i'm not even that little - i'm a director but am poor af working here)
