Thread regarding Medtronic Inc. layoffs

Q4 results in June

Has anyone noticed? Q4 results will be released on June 3, not in usual May month. Then next day, there is global townhall as well. Seems dramatic changes are on tbe way.

As of today all my stock options going back to 2016 are worthless at $82 per share price. The lost decade.

Martha's days must be numbered. The Minimed IPO was $2B below Medtronic's own projections and added no value to Medtronic! The analysts are cutting all their stock projections by the week. No doubt the next Q4 numbers will be a sad story. It is very weird the way they have shoveled money at Martha. He is now at 300:1 over average employee pay, which is off the charts. I would cut his compensation (not just salary of course) based on performance and dare him to resign. That way you don't have to fund his golden parachute. The CFO Parkhill could see the writing on the wall and got the he-l out.

They need extra time to think of a word besides "headwinds". The best minds are coming together in workstreams for this one.

Heard all the OU presidents and portfolio leadership are in Minneapolis this week. Could be the usual quarterly leadership meeting but doesn’t sound like it

The only big change coming should be a new CEO. When I retired five years ago the stock was at 135. Today at 86. That is colossal failure. How much longer do they give this guy? What has happened to the Medtronic I worked for?

Maybe they need more time to announce the CEO transition plan

@cf it’s probably to give the reorg news space to breathe

@aa is it to give them some extra time to make the terrible results palatable?

@a9 The fiscal year ends the same time as years past. The only difference is the next fiscal year as one extra week. But still ending the same time.

If you google Medtronic fy26 q4 earnings call, the text preview says may 20, 2026 but when you click the link it’s says June 3, 2026. Looks like they moved it back 2 weeks.

Hmmmmm. Does this fiscal year ends later in April than previous years? Which might cascade the delayed release of financial results?
