Thread regarding SAP layoffs

TS also sees Mongoose as beneficial

In the current "Wortwechsel" he is towing the line. 1-2% seems okay for him.

On the other hand he focuses on the importance of culture. "Growth culture" is, according to him, soooo important.

Am I the only one who sees a certain amount of contradiction here?

At least he apologizes for the "brutal" remark, the tooth brushing (both DA) and the statement "at least my job is secure" (SS). Something at least.

They sla-ghtered 30 of 70 people responsible for Reference Customer connections ... with the only visible similarity that employee with long tenure are affected. Those who have the best connection to customers. Seems reference customers are no longer valued.

Just like in gardening, pruning is required for good growth. Trust the board.

TS is another clown buddy of head clown CK. The dude was once head of internal IT, a role that doesn’t ever speak to customers, and then head of product engineering, while never having written a line of code or delivering product vision, and now he’s head of CD&D while… you guessed it! Zero customer success or delivery experience!all the while going to an online undergraduate program and SAPs MBA diploma mill.

It's "Toeing the line" like all standing in a row with your toes on a line. Falling into place like everyone else around them.

@a9 stated more accurately, HR is a malignant growth on the culture.

My fear is that in the future they will just force people to quit by squeezing the life out of them and turning people against each other, which has already started...teams and engineers are now passing the hot potatoe instead of taking responsibility and doing what's necessary for the project.

Which culture? There is no culture left unless the reference is for culture of fear and clapping the board. They should stop insulting people by using words such as: culture, family and X persons belongs to...

Growth Culture is a myth. HR is championing this but they are not supported.

Now that 1-2% is normalized and the new performance management system increases the disparity between employee and board salaries and bonuses, there is nothing stopping them from going even further. Next year, we can expect a push for 4-5% layoffs and less than 2% bonuses. A board member or their immediate reports earn more in a year than most SAP employees do in a lifetime. So they just want to hurt the company, collect their payoff, and leave in a few years. Nothing will change unless employees decide to go on strike or implement significant reforms.
