Wellmed Texas an d Florida affected and more are coming. Optum doesn't need wellmed they already have departments within Optum. More cuts coming oct 30.
@c9 It shouldn't matter that it was a few, people were laid off. You only heard of a few, it doesn't necessarily mean that more didn't happen. There have been times in the past that a recruiter would reach out asking if someone on their RIF list can be put in my open req. There would be upward of a 1000 or more individuals-no names but titles-on the list. Sometimes the layoff was not or barely mentioned on this site. Not everyone knows this site even exists

WellMed Tampa and surrounding area is having office merges with Optum. Some Optum clinics are merging into a WellMed clinic and some WellMed clinics are merging into Optum clinics. I’m sure staff cuts will come soon after.

Sounds like it's just one group in OI clinical. It would be nice if people specified what group or organization was expecting a RIF instead of causing fear and panic in everyone.
Imagine if UHG and Optum simply announced layoffs internally on SPARQ instead of getting our info from the rumor mill. This site is viewed by people outside of the organization and I'd say this it's bad advertising.
Was it wellmed in Florida and Texas or just Florida? I’m so sorry for those who were impacted
