Other than a few days here and there over the last couple years, I haven't went in and don't plan to. My manager and above does not enforce RTO at all.
OP I sincerely hope you get fired for not following the rules. And I hope you get fired at the next job for not following the rules as well.

@dj yes and no…….highly dependent on your manager and how “strict” they are at making you adhere to policy. They can coach memo and “inconsistently met expectations” you out of a job over time. It’s the new Schwab way.
There are not even 50% in the office today, on an RTO day. And I have not heard of a single person getting fired for that, the last two years.
It will be safe to stay home. As long as you do your job, no one cares.
@a8 No one’s been fired for not going in. Most managers, including me, warn our guys we can’t protect them but aren’t told to enforce it. Terminations would need policy consistency. They might happen, but there’s also force in numbers.
@b0 yes, that’s because there are not enough seats. So the company is letting non-employees WFH instead of the other way around. Make it make sense! Another brilliant company decision that does wonders for employee morale. Why should we expect anything less?
Haven't gone in yet. Not going to start now. Go in and look around. There's exceptions, but half of the building is empty on any given rto day.
Quitting as soon as the bonus hits and headed to Fidelity for the 2 weeks in two weeks at home deal.

Not only do they check the badge in/out but they also check the IP address you are logged into. If it's not a recognized IP address, that means you're not working at an office location. I don't think they will mind if a few of you were volunteering to be laid-off by not showing up to work. This actually helps their legal team when they fire you instead of laying you off, cause when you get "fired", the company doesn't have to pay unemployment. Please stay home so someone who does go to the office can keep their job. Thanks for volunteering.
