But for the rest of us - run. Start putting yourself first, because no company ever will. If you’re not already looking at other options, you’re late. Don’t kid yourself that loyalty, long hours, or dedication mean anything. They don’t. Your skills are yours alone. Treat them like currency and use them for your future, not for a company that’ll cut you without blinking.

Dead weight will get cut (sales) - and lots of dead weight there
@a7 This makes a lot of sense to me. They will go after the obvious overlap in other areas first that shows as little disruption to the customer base. Once they have a better handle things, there will be significant consolidation in the sales organization. I'm very curious how it will play out at the Director and VP levels in sales
The ones who did receive an offer should still be looking for a new roll. The first wave is just the beginning.
Once HPE figures out where we all overlap, a second round of WFR's will likely happen in January. Especially in the sales organization.
