Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Wait until Elliott Management gets done with HPE, you won’t recognize HPE at all. ☹️

Greenlake, the "cloud" solution that's not really the cloud, for customers afraid to go to the cloud.

@a8 But going on like it went the last 2 years is no option either.
Rather change your strategy every quarter than having nothing of substance at all. Hyping AI is not a strategy and will stop working soon. There's no energy left in that starving body...

Yea but in the 5 years under Hurd the stock went up 87%. Lots of people who hold this dying companies' stock are hoping for that scenario now.

Fire all the s!h!i.t heads in Aruba cloud. Aruba cloud is a big joke. Too buggy and customers are not happy.

No good architect in Aruba cloud. Nepotism and bias is rampant. Just clear the whole lot of overpaid engineers.

Many customers have stuck to Aruba because of relationship and history with Aruba devices

It will look different after $600 million in cuts and Bob Calderoni becomes CEO.

I saw a post a few weeks back too that is proving to be accurate. I can't find it now. Talked about the redundant groups getting laid off and sales teams, sales engineering. . . maybe it was in the juniper section? Can someone find it?

It's not going to be good for Juniper folks from what I currently understand. Someone previously posted a detailed target list. It's looking accurate. Source: HR.

Elliot are psychopaths. They will chop and squeeze remorselessly for the sole purpose of short-term price gain, then bail and leave the broken company. Who cares our goal is done. 60,000 HPE employees, F-U. Watch as we 600 employees pi$$ in your face because there is nothing you or your leadership will do.

I need to dump a bunch of this nowhere stock so I'm hoping for a pop in price to get out with a bit of profit. Hoping for the "Mark Hurd" effect!!!

@af. Not to worry, everybody at HPE is already doing 3 jobs, since we have nearly daily layoffs.

Hi.. Juniper person here, just joining (maybe). I can tell you that Elliot did a lot of damage at Juniper. They shrink the staff. Everyone ends up having 3 jobs, not kidding. The stock price rises. They bail. A couple of quarters later things start to fail badly. The stock price falls. Just watch.

I suspect that's right. Between Elliot and Juniper, HPE will be unrecognizable in 12 months. Lots of layoffs, likely parts of the business sold off, and quarterly, if not monthly strategy changes. Buckle up kids, we are approaching the top of the rollercoaster.

It’ll look mostly the same, just fewer people.
