Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

The "it's not that bad" crowd really makes me question things

So many cheerleaders here. Are they trying to gaslight us or just themselves? Maybe they've never worked anywhere but at Intel, who knows. I took this job for the pay bump and regretted it fast. Now I'm just counting days until I can escape back to sanity. Honestly feel bad for people who think this dumpster fire is normal.

I don’t you think what OP is saying. And I agree with OP. Things are bad very bad. But while at work and working everyone is like this fake happy and a-s kidding of managers and leadership. No one is confronting or asking the hard questions. There is ZERO accountability. And everyone goes about their day like sheep willingly and happily being led to sla-ghter. It’s crazy bizzaro world. People should be cranky and upset about what’s going on and what’s about to happen. But they are uncanny valley acting like bubbly happy fools.

OP, you are being a little over dramatic, are you looking for people to back you up and agree with you? I don’t think anyone believes a dumpster fire is normal, but do you always look at everything in your life in negative light? Just because you choose to look at things negative doesn’t mean everyone is like you. Yea it’s probably sh---y at Intel and It probably depends on what area you work at. Some people choose to pull some positive out of a bad situation, there is nothing wrong with that.

100% and not this site. Before I took the package in Sept, my manager told me that I should only be looking at the good things and ignoring the negative things. I was like WTF man... made me double down on the decision to leave.

The site is infested with trolls, and always has been.

Not sure why anyone would bother to say anything positive.

Also not sure what the trolls think they are achieving.

Not affecting whether anyone stays or leaves and not affecting the stock.

If anything, the trolling gets louder and more pointless when the stock is retesting, yet one gets the sense that the stock trolls price targets are never happening.

Maybe focus more on the trade and less on the troll?

Normal or not, many or of us are too tainted, stupid, or otherwise unemployable to save ourselves at this point.

Only thing that’s left to do is sit there while the car rolls off the edge of the cliff. Just gotta be ready with a side piece to put one in your head before the car hits the bottom. And hopefully be mindful enough to enjoy the thrilling moment of weightlessness between bottoming out and pulling the trigger.
