Yet another sign that big red's best days are behind them.

@d9, it sounds like you are one of the reasons the company got bounced from the Dow Jones, and customers are moving over to ATT and T Mobile. The company has lost market breadth and share because of all the dei nonsense. Now the shareholders, employees, and customers have to pay for all of the dei failings. Own it!

I love all of the diversity down voters, but once again, facts are facts, and words have real meanings.

Once again, we have evidence that "Diversity", divides, conquers, and destroys everything in its path. While a 'University' of purpose, talent, and ideals coalesces, builds, and grows.

Getting kicked out of the Dow means that company will be the subject of many new Harvard Business Review cases for study about how to steal defeat from the jaws of victory, by destroying capital and losing the mission.

Layoffs and more reorgs to follow!

This is huge news and a direct result of the woke years that destroyed the brand and turned the company from best in class into DOW Jones dropout!

The company leadership should have been more focused on human touch customer service and AI tech to clean up their FP&A morass. Instead, it was the other way around.

The prior company boss allowed the once vaunted 'Network' & tech to be commoditized, which increased price but reduced value to customers.

Wow, booted from the Dow!

Sad. We will no longer be included in the annual Dogs of the Dow. Sad. Very sad. Not the best.

@b7 That's funny considering a white man has controlled the company during all of it's turmoil

The catastrophic major factor was "DEI". Hiring on color never works, never will.

Left wing politics ki-led it aka "DEI" ..........

That is what happens when you dont use your immense resources to chase innovation. Keep trasforming with AI, off-shoring and promoting those Indian tech managers.

Not great news, but also not a death sentence. VZ is still in the S&P500 and Nasdaq. If there's a slight di from this it could be a buying opportunity.
