Annual bonus payout for voluntary separation

Will I receive the bonus for 2025 if I leave Ford in January 2026? Usually bonus is paid in March. Any of you have experience with this?

I committed fraud for the company by lying to destroy careers of young people that just started to protect leadership. I’m a ford groupie. Do I get a big bonus? I’m a team player

@b0 as you say, the policy is very clear that you won't get the bonus if you leave before the payout date. not sure why all the others on this thread are talking about prorated bonuses.

Of course. You just have to pull your pants down around you ankles then put your hands there as well! Make sure to smile and enjoy your bone-a$$!

I received one the following calendar year after I was laid off. As a result, I ended up owing a little money during tax time. Not really complaining, the bonus was higher than what I owed. But it seemed like the perfect way to cap off the layoff experience - with a bill from the IRS!

Ford will come out with new ideas to deduct from everyone 50% for recalls caused by LL2/LL1 lay offs strategy. The people who were supposed to deliver were reshuffled or laid off, then they go after everyone with blames when it is written on the forehead as a tatoe "Id-iot - its you"

@OP yes you will. Read policy, it's out there...in my case I will receive 50% since I left end of June. If you leave, you will likely be bumped to lowest possible award in your section.

@a7 I think you're forgetting the performance factor, which may be what they're referring to.

IDK what these people are talking about and they don't either. This is covered very clearly in the l@f article for bonuses

No, if you quit before the bonus payout date, you will NOT receive a bonus. Even if you leave the week the bonuses are paid, and they've already initiated the deposit, they will cancel the check. I warned a friend about this but they couldn't hang until bonus day. They have a bank thats posts checks early, money was pulled back out of their account along with their final paycheck as both were canceled(they issue the final salary check by mail).

You might be able to have it both ways if you could get on FLSA leave or something to keep your employment status without having to show up.

@a7 is right, OP will recieve the bonus. @ah is right, OP will receive the least percentage they can assign.

@a7 this is simply not true in reality. It is the management team’s discretion to adjust the bonus during compensation planning. And in all those planning reviews I was in the people that left received reduced bonuses to give people that stayed more.
My LL2 basically took the bonus away from all people that left in 2024 earlier that year.

Yoyr bonus is prorated to the time you worked in 2025. Leaving in 2026 should not impact it.

What I have seen in the past: All bonuses will be reduced to the minimum acceptable amount for those that have left. What that means depends on your leadership team, but be aware that even if they are nice you will not get compensated fairly. If you get 60 to 70% you will be lucky. I have seen payouts nearly down to 20%.
I have seen retirees being cheated out of a bonus just because they left.

You do not need to be present to win that free lunch from what I've seen in the past.

Yes. Your bonus will be enough to take your family out for MacDonalds dinner.
