The real path to big profits lies in fully implementing Agentic AI and streamlining headcount from 98K to 45K. The goal is to build a lean, high-efficiency organization. If everything goes as planned, we’re looking at running this company with just 45K people by FY28. So buckle up true blue people.!

The gial 7s to replace everyone below the c suite with agentic AI. Little dilo the c suiters know MD is working on agentic AI bots to replace the c suite as well.
I love posts from the ‘anonymous intelligence’ handle.. they are close to accurate mostly.
OP hear.. from what I have heard recently. There is a possibility of another 20-22k hc reduction that’s already planned in next 2 years. Taking the hc down to 75k. So yes, we are going to witness similar reduction in the coming years, executed quietly by getting rid of tenured and close to retirement age workers.
@OP this post makes complete sense now.. given that the current hc is at 97k.. kudos to you for being able to post this in July last year..
@57y and the 10K annual report was released yesterday. It’s at 97k. I was close enough.. so go su-k your tumb.!
Pure speculation with no relevant information. Where did you get the 98 from?
Whether we like it or not, this post raises some valid points. If August 25 felt intense with the cuts, it sounds like January 26 might be even more severe. Let’s hope for the best but prepare for the worst.
Circling the drain
From what I understand, you will require massive amounts of power to make AI work. Do we have enough excess electricity generation to make this happen?
Also, I don't think Agentic AI is where it needs to be to make this happen.
The so-called experts are saying, AI in general, is moving at lightening speed. What else would they say? Apparently, the amount of investment is off the scale and if it doesn't work as intended, there will be a lot of economic issues with these AI companies.
@a7 I don't think private companies care about that, at all.
I assume the idea is to cut spending, make things more efficient and improve companies' performances, while unloading on the public sector (government, local administrations) all the social burdens of this.
At the end of the day, governments will be the first losers in case of mass unemployment and lack of taxes, so it's pretty logic that companies take to pass the burden onto them.
AI doesn’t pay taxes or buy anything, everyone needs to stop and think about that for a minute. Update Dell’s mission statement from “driving human progress” to “driving human extinction”
FY28 plan - that's cute. This country will collapse before then if things continue in this direction.
