This is one of many offices that were acquired by Shell in that acquisition. Moving the people to Dubai, London, and Singapore makes sense since Shell has trading offices in those locations already. All they are doing is centralizing trading to existing locations and will probably save money by lowering operating costs. Shell and other companies do this all the time after acquisitions are completed.
It was an acquisition. Not sure why it's laughable. It's not like they bought the building. They bought the business. Sure, ppl are involved and that su-ks. Not sure how we lost on this deal 🤔. Can you explain your viewpoint more?
Huh? You can read the link itself to see that this is not a The Onion article. The Olive Press is an English language newspaper for Spain because this happened in Spain. You could have easily used Google to find that out or look the news up yourself if you don’t trust the source. Do a basic Google search and you will find other news outlets reporting the same thing.
