Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

State of Disunion @TheTrustedDisruptor

  1. Loans taken to cover payroll. All that LHXNext savings still can't stop the debt created implosion.
  2. Accelerating the full transformation into the ENRON of the defense industry.
  3. 160 hours vacation and sick combined cap being enforced in certain businesses. Director level approval required above 160 hours combined.
  4. Auto rejection of planned sick or vacation leave if not provided with enough advance notice. Override requires manager and second level approval.
  5. Rolling layoffs still occurring.
  6. Stock price down $70 from recent high of around $370. Currently around $300.
  7. Insider selling accelerating.
  8. RTO harassment still occurring even with commuting costs skyrocketing due to fuel spikes.
  9. Outsourced IT company not getting paid due to cash flow issues. Leads to more service outages and lack of support.
  10. Morale has hit a new low. Parking lots emptying rapidly after 5 PM. Only time I've ever seen people leave faster was after a 4 hr college chemistry lab was over.

Please comment with additional information regarding the state of dysfunction @ L3H

@50p AS will definitely get a lot of business experience in I&C. Too bad he doesn't have the skills to turn it around. He is going to meet everyone and learn about the customers and teams soon. AKA I'm in over my head and don't know what is going on somebody save me type of situation.

CK and SM ONLY care about the $$$ NOT national security. I&C will be split up and sold off in pieces to generate revenue and so AS can keep his job. They already got rid of older talent with the layoffs. Everything gets harder now to keep I&C from sinking at its current rate.

@4wa that is hilarious! What more can you expect from him! Manages upwards really well and is very polished! Says all the right things to upper management! It worked for him! All he needs now is some real life business experience! Let’s see what he can deliver as sector president

@4sz AS revealed his aptitude to everyone with the ridiculous engineering organization transformation name change poll. Choices to rename the engineering team: the hive, the foundry or engineering. After employees picked engineering, he let everyone know about the powerful statement of unity from the team!

IMS = It's a MesS

Has transformed into

SMS = Sh!ts a MesS

@4an Give the guy a break! He is a young 31 year old executive! Smart fellow who was promoted early to become VP of Engineering at IMS! Let’s see how he does as President of a big sector! There is always a first time! Some new energy perhaps?

Buckle up everyone!

"Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train"

Will Crazy Train become the unofficial theme song of L3H?

@2t1 Covid proved L3H leadership did not care about anything but $$$. Did not clean facilities, lied about cleaning, forced RTO on "critical programs" then sent everyone home after 2 days since someone got sick. Repeat this failed cycle every 2 to 3 weeks. We had multiple people go to the ER in an ambulance straight from the "clean" facilities. I believe a few deaths as well.

My only regret during covid is I did not leave L3H when there was a hiring bo-m across the defense industry. I TRUSTED L3H leadership to keep the remote/hybrid option as long as I was a top performer. L3H has been a major DISRUPTOR of my life ever since the end of peak covid.

I'm not really bitter about this anymore. I'm just making my plans quietly to disrupt the Trusted Disruptor when I resign for a better opportunity!

@sz L3HARRIS got disaster relief money for COVID. We kept working through the whole thing. L3HARRIS got reimbursement for deep cleaning the Clifton facility. (The cleaning never happened because we were there and NOTHING was cleaned unless we did it ourselves. ).
Everybody who owned a piece of the company got a little extra money from that pandemic except us.
We got COVID .

The 160 hours sick plus vacation is not uniform across L3H. Not even uniform across GVL. Some have 200 combined, some have 160 vacation plus 40 sick and you can use vacation for sick but not sick for vacation.

Everyone back in the office right? Not uniformly. Some work remotely far from GVL and NEVER come in. Some might be in every couple months. Some are local but just come in when they need to. Most are here every day.

With the lack of communication it is hard to know what is going on outside your small group.

@cp wow….hes the 4th CFO in 4 years (joke much?) every new CFO they bring in, the comp packages keep going up….it’s absolutely disgusting these people make so much money selling “technology” to our warfighters who make pennies, and worse to the employees who get worked like dogs, all to get 2% merits. Check it out people, can fake this. This @CP dude is right, every stock sell they make is public, CK making like $40 million off stock alone a year

Selling the Clifton site to a developer won't be a problem. When ITT downsized the site many years ago, it sold off many acres of toxic land to a developer. (There are residential properties there now).
It's New Jersey . We built stuff on top of Superfund sites all the time. It's called The Meadowlands. Right down the road from Clifton.

@t4 Raytheon put a 1+ billion bid in to buy PBY a few years ago. They wanted the HTC and the rest of the campus. L3H leadership said no and didn't sell. PBY smells really bad close to building 102/21/R5 since it is located right besides the waste water treatment plants. For years I thought it was just the smell of management BS that got worse!

@gc loans to cover payroll were confirmed by multiple leaders in disparate functional areas.

@ps the company leadership is clueless and corrupt. L3H generated record profits during covid due to the hybrid/remote policies! This momentum would have continued but the company in their infinite greed and stupidity bought aerojet (a failing company) and td links (a problem company. Viasat celebrated sale..) for a significant premium and with variable interest rate loans... EZ confirmed 600 million in interest paid per year just because of these loans in fall 2024 when rates were lower. L3H has significant cash flow issues and is selling facilities even with demanding RTO.. would it not be easier to sell facilities and maintain a hybrid/remote workforce which is a zero $ cost benefit? Also all this RTO still has not resulted in program or schedule gains. In fact, people are demoralized and not working from home/after normal hours anymore. Why should a work force be loyal to the trusted disruptor of our lives and careers? SM made it very clear in his first all hands as SMS president - "If you believe in hybrid or remote work, L3Harris is not the place for you!" I appreciate the transparency from executive leadership. I can't wait to take snowflake with me when I leave L3H to join a better company. Some of us are significantly move valuable than others. Good luck replacing me and my snowflake!

@ps flexing on the side of management that's this miserly is a weird take. Normal take: WFH as long as projects are being met and performance is good, why should anyone care? Its like if my neighbors kids have it easier than I do, that's good, I'm glad for them. I don't WFH because of the nature of my job but I'm not bitter about it.

The executives of this company havebit too easy IMHO, so if we're taking away benefits, let's start with them.

#8? It's time to stop whining about RTO. Obviously, keeping a facility open is more expensive than paying people to work from home. But, the company ended it because it wasn't working. The company decides it's policy based on the needs of the company. Not a bunch of self involved snowflakes like you. If you can't handle the working conditions, get the fu-k out.

@gc The national average pay increase for hourly workers was actually 3.6%. The hourly workers represented by the Communications Workers of America (CWA) in Clifton got 5% a year for the next 3 years to stop the exodus of talented touch labor. Management got a company wide average of 2.14%.
Obviously L3HARRIS is not concerned with management people leaving the company. Probably because most of them are already under qualified and overpaid. And of course replaced by AI in the next year or so anyway.

#1 is not true. L3HARRIS never borrowed money to make payroll.
They stole it from their employees. 2% pay increase while the national average was 3.3%?.
If you can't qui that company, you're a loser.

Pay attention to the real numbers. Overall wages Nationwide are up 3.6%. inflation came in at 3.3%. so most Americans are making more money and keeping slightly ahead of inflation. But what about you? L3 Harris gave you 2% didn't they? Manufacturing Nationwide is through the roof. But not at L3 Harris with rolling layoffs and more to come. Job growth is up across all sectors. But not at L3 harris. Whether the mainstream media says so or not the truth is, the nation is undergoing an economic bo-m that hasn't been seen in decades. That's the truth. You can be part of it or you can stay at L3 Harris and go down with the sinking ship. Don't miss out on the economic bo-m. Get out of L3 and join the rest of the country.

Again, all public info, go find it. I’ll help you out with this one for starters if it doesn’t make you sick enough, while your boss denied your promo and you get 2% merit

As long as the warfighter gets what they need to protect themselves, protect us, and get the mission done without losing anyone, I don't give a cr-p about L3HARRIS.
The War Department needs better partners than the L3HARRIS Dumpster fire. It's becoming obvious.
The company is going to go away. Broken up into pieces and sold off.
