Why do people act like working at Truist is their life’s purpose? It’s not. It’s a job. Check the box. Collect the paycheck. That’s the endgame. Your “team” is just a bunch of strangers you’d never know or interact with if survival didn’t force it.
Meanwhile, in places like France, people actually get it: grinding at work is not something to brag about. Hard work is overrated. So stop worshipping Truist like it's holy!
Real@$$ VP here, doing the job description only. If I go over 40 one week I take extra long bowel movements the next week. You think I can't meditate in a stall? I tie zero part of my self-worth to this gig, it enables my bill paying at an acceptable effort-to-dollar ratio.

@OP Good Guidance. I also know that the teammates deserve to have the place be something they can be proud of. Not just to just to do good work and excel in their roles but to be good people. They have the nature to want to take care of each other and the customers and since MOE, that is oppressed by the same individuals telling you to have a purpose, be unstoppable, and have a champion mindset.
There are many mid level managers who should be breaking rocks in a prison, "Leaders" who are nowhere to be found and have no idea how to accomplish their "mandates", and a CEO whose only goal is to enrich himself one last time before he erects an Ozymandias statue dedicated to himself and his "great works."
