And let’s be honest, that is the goal. The requirements will just keep getting more ridiculous until enough of us give up and leave on our own. Four days in the office will turn into five, 40 miles will become 50. It’s a cheap, convenient way to thin the ranks without having to say the quiet part out loud.

@an i saw this on linked in- seemed weird to me too!
@a6 Wait. What? Missed this. Someone claimed to buy Worster shoes that he now wears?
Guys we are Schwab One okay? Doesn’t that mean anything to you all
Remote workers have it worse. Yes we get to be at home, but now there’s no job positions, I’ve been constantly applying but they all said the same things, we need you work in office. We didn’t ask for our building to shut down.
The shoe thing is totally on brand for Schwab.
Employees give, leadership takes and expects us to feel grateful for the opportunity just to exist.
@a1 It really is wild how little those at the top seem to care about anyone but themselves.
The disdain is loud & clear. Leadership wants people gone & what makes it even grosser is how they pretend to care.
Do they really think that posting on social media about some poor employee that bought Rick sneakers (that Rick now wears) is fooling anyone?
For us Older folks, we enjoy socializing around the break areas with the younger generations. Telling stories and having laughs, excited for RTO4!
They're just so out of touch with reality it's insane, but if course because of their 20b buyback the company looks good because stock price is all that matters.
The culture is sh-t because upper management doesn't listen to employees about how to make the work better/easier. But again we know the real reason they're doing this, it's a psuedo layoff to get people to leave without paying out severance.
Just do 4 hours of work.
What a crock of sh-t...
I've never seen a company that has such active disdain for its employees.
