Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Now I feel even less confident that any of this will actually lead somewhere

There’s no real plan. Just cutting into oblivion won’t magically make the company better, more efficient, or more profitable. And no, AI can’t replace people, unless someone is aiming for an epic fail.

Wasn't that obvious? New CEO was an old board member that drove Vz into this position. His first move as CEO was to cut jobs with no rhyme or reason. I was RIF'd and my old team is scrambling because despite a heavy workload they were forced to cut 4 from a 12 person engineering team

Wow so many of you were apparently in the board room and heard first hand there was no plan. Amazing. Tell us more about what went on in the meeting. 🤣

It's no different than what's been happening for 8 years. There was no plan with "Verizon 2.0" or any other monickers they used. Countless RIF's will continue.....

It’s counterintuitive to believe that less people can do more work than more people can.

It's a clown show. The end is near. It's just a matter of time.

Did anyone really believe there was a plan, this clown rubber stamped all the moves that got us here.
