I think it's telling that only him and Skiadas are mentioned in the CEO compensation statement, in the last Paragraph they got a large bonus to stay with company.
Sampath has been saved over and over by significant company changes. He is always one step ahead of the jailer or riffer! From his days in Strategy Development & Planning, to OneFiber to Yahoo to today, Sampath has not successfully landed one single project. None! Everything is a song and dance and big happy promises, but never anything to show.
If they thought Sampath was up to the job they would have just put him in charge. The fact that the transition is occurring with the Frontier acquisition is important. Why would THAT be the trigger? Could there be someone at Frontier that they have earmarked to take over? Is the someone there who used to be in the C Suite at VZ?

Listened to recon analytics podcast this morning. Etner, is a telco shill but basically said Hans was a mistake in hindsight because he had zero experience running a large company, and was a finance peanut mover.
I like Dan, he’s a good pick and has experience every V creamer should want, although if the rumors are true and sampath is next up you all are in for the same broken English that ruined VZ during Hans tenure.
