Thread regarding Paramount Global layoffs

Remote, BUT report to NY or LA office

Understanding remote workers are part of Phase II (according to DEs email), but anyone know if managers in NY or LA who have direct reports that are remote were given a chance to justify their roles? Even if they were hired as remote OR do we think the decision lies with Senior Leadership and they will be let go this next big round which is rumored to be 10/28?

Ok,. I will bite.
I'm a VP and I have remote and hybrid people working for me on the team. This question has come up and I have raised it to HR and the reply was basically, thanks for the info, but we aren't sure what is happening with them yet. But we don't think managers will have much of a say as it's a directive.

Just like everything else at the moment, you're line manager isn't making the decisions.

@c5 Weird...I said the same thing in another thread and somehow got 21 downvotes. Makes me think some of these threads might be getting botted, because it doesn’t make sense. Not sure why people think the company would relocate everyone from LA to NYC - there’d be serious legal implications given the opt-in program.
