I started recently here and my manager let me know that the baseline expectation is a 9 hour work day for bonus-eligible employees. I learned from a coworker that non bonus-eligible employees are expected to work 8 hour work days. It sounds to me like it’s not so much a bonus as it is just pay for your additional labor. An extra hour a day comes out to ~6 additional work weeks in the year. Do bonuses far exceed what you’d need to make that extra time worth it?

Bonuses are trash.
Are bonuses good here? - NO
@OP I am not sure why it's referred to as bonus for those eligible to receive. It's actually "bait" since you don't receive it all when given.
I don't know what BU you're in but for the majority of us, FB took bonuses away during the Covid years. The last time I saw a bonus was 2021 or 2022 (I have to check workday for that data).
Major issue at Fiserv is that they allow leaders to say d-mb stuff like this. Just get your job done and shoot for at least 40 hours. The work will always be there tomorrow.
I left Fiserv a few years ago, the bonus never paid out at 100%. No one ever had a reason why it was funded at less than 100% but it did seem like it funded differently depending on the BU you were in.
No. The company that underpays their employees does not give good bonus to those employees.
Not only is the bonus small, it will vest over three years.
Only worthwhile bonuses are in senior leadership.
@ab understand they’re not calculated off of time in the office, saying that the policy says if you’re eligible for one that you’re expected to work 9-hour days.
@OP What in the h e c k are you talking about? Bonus aint calculated on number of hours in the office. Go find the VP on your team to explain it because what you posted is stupid.
