The union announced that all RLTs are to be contract completed, and not renewed. if the contract employees are all gone, then layoffs can go through with nothing stopping it. It is looking like the Union in CWA 4 is getting ready to let the surpluses begin. Funny enough ATT wanted to renew all of the contract employees, it's the union that's terminating your jobs.

Just had one this past Monday with some groups seeing 25-30% of their staffs getting notice. Some of the advanced tech support groups lost 1/3 of there people.
First they'll put some work house parameters in place ('must be in the office for at least 8 hours between 8AM and 6PM').
Then they'll let everyone marinate on that for a couple months to see how many throw in the towel.
They want us to self deport.
