@kh that wasn’t a Christmas bonus. It doesn’t happen every year. But it’s happened 2 of my 5 years and I was very thankful when it did. I WISH that was something we could look forward to EVERY year.

@h4 there is no correlation between badge swipes and more billions. None. That's the problem no one wants to talk about. They claim this is about culture but culture flows from the top. All these people hide themselves or put on stupid skits on fidcen. Culture for them is presentism of those below them, and warm seats they can lord over. They won't know what leadership means even if it hit them over their head. Would any of you follow their path? Do these people motivate you to be like them? Do you look up to them and think, yeah that's who I wish I could be? If you leave their compensation aside and think for a bit, the answer is quite depressing. These are the people calling you back full time on the pretext of culture.

@me exactly! We need to all make it awkward at big meetings and ask tough questions. This place is too hierarchical so no one wants to step out of line but I bet some of you who are looking would love to tell it like it is.

I'm shocked still that we got a christmas bonus last year. Doesn't really fit with them taking everything else away. Maybe Abby got in trouble for it.

The truth about all of this is that people have started to understand that company culture is little more than a cult. The company does not care about you and will throw you away at the first convenient time. There is no Fidelity family, there is only your actual family and friends that will be there for you when things get bad. We don't want to buy into this company cult but the higher ups need us to. That is the main reason for the RTO, they want Fidelity to be our entire lives. We might miss an important after hour call if we have a life outside of work

@h7 Lol. I’m all set. I saved quite a bit during my tenure at Fidelity - thank you Fidelity! My last annual check in with my Fidelity Wealth Advisor was eye opening. I’m good, Trotsky. Going to meet my maker and still have plenty to pass down to the family. Keep working and saving. Stop complaining. Sheesh.

hey boomer, thanks for letting our country get invaded by third worlders! We'll keep in mind that you don't want any handouts when we cut your medicare and social security that is bankrupting our nation, and then make sure you live frugally in a care home staffed entirely by people who won't care about your complaints because they don't know English

@am - yes we don't hear much from her anymore. Seems like it's been like that since New Years... Now she wants us all to be miserable. All that matters to her are badge swipes, control, and more billions.

You are all a bunch if spoiled, entitled, “what’s in it for me” brats. If it wasn’t for Fidelity you’d probably not have a roof over your heads, full bellies, 2nd houses, paid college tuitions, Teslas, 3 or 4 flat screens in your houses, etc. Fidelity owes you nothing. You owe the chance to work at such a great company with great compensation and benefits everything. Be home before the streetlights come on - children.

It has been a pattern of taking things away from us. First the pension, then the computer discount, the gym reimbursement, the tuition assistance lowered to 5k (disguised as free tuition for lower paid associates who probably won't avail of it), then 3 days a month in office, then every other week, now 100%. What next? the free snacks are probably next. Next they might start charging us for parking because Abby doesn't make enough profit. They might start charging for the shuttle buses.

So everything about ending the lease on 245 summer and creating a hype for moving to WTC is a lie. They planned this from the beginning. How does this leadership still have any credibility left?

And next week this new org model will come with layoffs I bet. It’s been so terrible. WFH worked with record profits to show for it. But nope, not enough.

Notice we don't hear much from Abby these days. We used to get lots of dynamic working propaganda. They tried to the positive spin it for a long time and got a lot of blow back from the beginning. The company over hired during COVID, and is clearly p1ssed that their spin and talking points didn't work. So this is it -- just pull the band-aid and let the chips fall where they may. They will likely result in the headcount correction and do so without having to pay severance if people leave on their own -- so it's a win in more way than one. The job market is soft so they are in a position of power. It also gives them the opportunity to rebuild the workforce with people they think will conform and drink the Kool aid and get rid of the detractors. Sadly what they're missing is that they will lose a lot of good people and probably gain many that are struggling to get a job at higher paying companies. Obedience is most important. Good luck to them. I've worked at this company for a long time and it's sad to see what it has become. Can't wait to leave -- and move all of my money. Yes some of it is out of anger, but some of it is because seeing things from the inside I'd feel better having it elsewhere

Pre-pandemic I went in 2-3 days a week…super flexible - manager didn’t care so long as work got done. My commute is 1.5 hours each way and only 1 other person in my group at my location. We all zoom for meetings. Makes no sense.

I’m so glad I left the firm. The office was toxic and distracting. Those who have offices telling everyone without a cubicle of their own how beneficial it is to go to work. It’s a clown show. R.I.P.
