I've been here 6 years and my first raise was 8% - which was partialy due to covid and mostly due to me being an all star lol... Next 2 years were fairly average - 3-5%. Then I got a 12% raise which was amazing! The last 2 were on the higher end of average so, 4%...

I'm not super hopeful about this years raise as my awesome manager hasn't been my manager for the last year due to the demotion of all Sr.Managers... Ive had a director manager who's been 100% MIA so lol...

Overall, since I started it's totaled to about a 30% increase over 6 years

25% via promotion about 4 years ago. But I get inflation rises annually of about 2.5% which is lower than the actual inflation rate where I live.

@a5 Above a certain threshold (roughly 33–35% increase) sign-off from the SVP leading your organization is required. This often happens when moving from I8 to I9.

7% for me, but inflation in the US that year was 8% so it wasn't really a raise.

Around 20%, it was a promotion. Outside of that never more than around 4%.

About 25% or so, probably more, a longtime ago, but that was moving from hourly based to salary. Then after that the highest was probably a 10% on a promotion also a while ago. I got axed last year. Found a new place where i'm getting paid hourly but doing more money than what i was doing at dell, less stress, i'm not a senior engineer anymore, at least on paper, less responsibilities win-win.

@a6 Got promoted at the same time. So it was not just a raise. Wasn't exactly 50 but around that ball park, 47% of something like that. Going from what was apparently the low end of the salary ranged for one grade to the high end of the next.

Most years the raises both before and after that was in the 0-3% range.

My first two years with the company I was in the gsap program where raised were given quarterly. I was a little underwhelmed with the 2-4% rasies at the time (recruiter promised us 6% per quarter) but my total for each year was 10%+

For me: top year was a bit over 6%, 10 years here.

Also. Nobody ever got a 50% raise, it would never clear approval thresholds. just downvote that post.

@a4

Share the mechanism of getting a 50% raise.

~50% , which mean I had spent years being underpaid. On the flip side of it, I got layed off because I was "too expensive" later. Oh the irony.

I've been here 4 years. My biggest raise was 4.25%... No promotions during this time though. I know people are stressed but we have good leadership in my group so there is less stress. I'd take this over a raise any time. I am single and no kids so it's easy for me to say this.
