Not to be all "poor white guy" about it, but it can be difficult at times to be the only wh---y in literally hundreds of Indians in my department. Do they hate me? Sometimes I wonder. Sometimes I feel like they don't understand me or care to understand me. It feels like I'm intruding in the company they created even though I have been here for 18 years. I love Indian culture, but I feel like we need a little diversity over here? Would love to see more Americans in all shapes colors and sizes!

@a4 that was a sh-t response
That is a mindset of slavery. As long as employees accept more work, they will keep on their mission. Even if you counterparts don't do their jobs. They don't have the same level of commitment. They just go to work in India to the company next door.
If your upline management in Indian, you are likely on the way out. They have a clearn plan to put Indian management in place as they continue to offshore resources. It is not a race thing so much as the cost cutting of Optum. So much for America winning.
Yes they hate you
Just like without our country’s President, there would be no country — with our current company presidents & CEOs, there will be no company left here. Optum is an offshore company pretending to be an American. How can you expect more diversity? And with this culture and pay, Wh.. folks are better being ICEy, or go digging Iceland for gold or whatever comes up😀. I am kidding… kind of… maybe
@OP well they probably see you as an inconvenience, it’s like when an ethnic group takes over a certain part of the city. They don’t hate you but they certainly feel you’re not needed and just most are wondering when you will leave or when are they gonna get rid of you. They probably don’t show animosity toward you but it’s their world, their way and believe me they don’t care how long you been there. They see the environment thru their culture and whether Americans like it or not they are judging you thru what they see Americans do.
@a4 Lulz...they hire and retain on cost, not qualifications.
Welcome to the non-DEI era where they hire and retain empoyees based on qualifications...it seems like for your dept, it just so happens they are majority Indian and you. The Irony, considering your culture is overwhelming to minorities all the time.
Soon they will manage their peers in India and we will be barking in the MOA selling pocketknives and popcorn.
