Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Check your severance numbers.

My payout is wrong. The numbers do NOT add up. Called benefits hotline and they couldn't understand where the payout is coming from either. Do not leave anything on the table.

@hp thank you for your response. This was not made clear in what I read from the company.

@a6 you would have received a prorated STI even if you were not Riffed. I did not know that my first year STI elgible and was unpleasantly surprised

If in NJ. 40% comes from VZ which you MUST sign off on , the other 60% comes from NJ WARN Payout according to what our daughter found out today after several frustrating hours.

@a8 Your 2024 STI was included in your total 2025 salary number if you were an employee in 2024.

Maybe they’re adding a mandatory deduction for executive bonus

@a8 no I'm just talking about the salary. The weekly amount on mine with my 26.67 years make zero sense

@a4 mine the weeks don't add up. It seems like they aren't putting every thing in. I can let you all know what happens

@a5 I heard that 2025 STI will not be paid out until March 2026. Was your STI included in your severance calculation? Mine wasn’t.

@a5 also, they VZ need to send an ammendment or change the calculation because we will be signing off the whatever on the release form (i. consideration of the poeple with 12/19offpayroll) and should be the honest amount.

Will I receive the full STI for 2025 if I worked half the year (I joined the company in the summer). Or will 2025 STI be prorated?

I agree. What formula you used? Can you point me where I can find it.

Per my understanding, STI should be 100% but why they added on weekly pay result? Also, my number of weeks is not the rounded off multiplier (22 weeks) but the output from years of service 2 (ex 10.832 =21.66 weeks) . If I have to calculate, based in my understanding:

Base salary / 52 weeks = (Z * 22 weeks of service) + STI = severance pay amount + 2026prorated sti (if off payroll 2026).

Do you mind explaining more how the numbers were off? I want to know what to look out for
