Any idea how it’s going to go down tomorrow? Obviously we aren’t getting a zoom mtg request from our dept head and HR…especially since our dept head has left the company.

I have no experience with layoffs being that I am union guy 4 lyfe
Your accounts will be shut off 6p, email HR with your personal email to receive paperwork etc,
Last year I went through a massive layoff at another media co. 11am we received a mandatory meeting invite with HR at 12p. Just one hr rep on screen, all other attendees no video access. Saying your on this call b/c your position is being eliminated as of today, etc etc….

@a9 when did the instructional/guidance call between HR/managers take place? was it today?
Email! The layoffs are too massive this time to do individual calls. There could possibly be a department wide meeting in the morning to give notice about the email plan.
Do line manager know by now who getting laid off ?
For those affected: your line manager will schedule a zoom meeting with you tomorrow morning, and will give you the news one-on-one in that call. There is a rough script they will have to follow. They will tell you about when your last day is (depends on WARN status, etc.), your STIP status (if any), and a little about your severance. They will answer any questions they are able. For any that they cannot, they will refer you to your HR rep. You will then get an email from HR almost immediately after you have had your call with your manager with further information and confirming everything you’ve discussed. Your manager is supposed to send out meeting invites first thing in your working day.

HR source here said email but some managers whatever their title could do them in person - zoom
@a3 Obviosly a troll BUT one company I was at during layoffs actually did an all-staff meeting and said "if you lose access to your computer after this meeting ends, you're laid off"
It’s going to be live streamed. They’ll send out the link in the morning. DE is going to read out a list of names. If he says your name you’re laid off.
