Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Strike Demands

  1. More Clarity around Layoffs (LBT was asked directly and tap danced)
  2. More and Better Training for our Management (Too many are insidious in action and require reprogramming)
  3. Predictable Pay Increases (We live in a time of high inflation. Two years without pay bumps is adding up)
  4. Clearly Outlined, Meritocratic Perf. Evaluation & Promotion
  5. ELT Accountability (We want to see ELTs performance evaluation criteria and when they don’t meet it we want to see accountability)

Axing 15% (2024) then 20% (2025) of “the employees” while having a “shelter and shuffle”attitude toward executive elites is not the answer. We deserve better. Take heed.

Strike is the way to go about this.

There is no union at Intel. That takes team work. No one at Intel shares anything. Intel's culture is based on keeping everything to themselves.

@a4, thank you for your service but you should be smarter then that. You think HR has nothing better to do than scan this site? I think they are busy enough preparing for the upcoming layoff.

Well, golly gee! Making demands and threatening to strike, at a time when the CEO is planning major cost and headcount reductions? Seriously? Looks like those who are "onboard" for a strike will be the first to lose their jobs.

Foolish move.

OK, all jokes aside. Insulting vets that sacrificed and continue to sacrifice to protect companies like Intel is where I draw the line! Now I’m for the strike! Sign me up, count me in.

@a9+1... I was a single dad for a lot of the time I worked at Intel... no one cares. Your life outside of work is your problem.

Being a single mother is hard enough without all the RTO pressure. I’m for the strike!

Go ahead and strike, I am sure management will update their list of who to fire if you weren't already on it. A really bad job market to be gambling your source of income on.

@a5+1 Is that your personal strike demand?

Not unsure Intel can't help you with that, but you couldn't not check with a librarian.

@a3... why all of the postings with double negatives? They are all over this site and I think it is intentional. What is the purpose?

I am a Military Vet with a degree from UPenn. I was badly injured serving in OIF. Working at Intel used to bring prestige. @OP this resonates with me. Don’t listen to the negative comments from HR. Shame on them.
