Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Calls

i often join calls where most people talking don’t really understand the problems and can’t help with solutions they just keep talking in circles with no clear direction. even when a good idea shows up they miss it or push back without reason...

Sadly, the ability to recognize a good idea is the same one needed to create it. not everyone in the room has that skill and it shows.

@ar, lots of people don’t read their emails and if they do they have a reading comprehension problem.

Completely dead right

Good ideas and the people that raise them with personal accountability to implement them should be nutured

And the nurturers should have enough good sense to champion and not usurp

Meetibg etiquette and managment course is dead at Intel

But the meetings are not

It is stealing from the company to have 25 people in a meeting with no clarity of purpose for the meeting or the people in it

If you are the audience you have a role

Otherwise put it in email

LOL... you must be on calls with Finance. They talk in circles and nonsense about 85% of the time. The other 15% of the time, they are kissing the GM's caboose or licking their boots.

Thank you for asserting P = NP (ie I strenuously disagree with you recognizing good ideas is like computer science P generating them is NP hard)
