How long does your insurance last if you get laid off or quit? Until the end of the month or end of the current pay cycle.

I do not know how layoffs impact subsequent insurance coverage. Generally speaking, if you leave/quit, your insurance coverage would hold through the end of the current month.
For example, if your last day is Tuesday, June 2, you would have insurance coverage through the end of June.
I have heard if your last day is the first of the month that coverage terminates immediately. I recommend you verify this. Again, I do not know how layoffs would impact this.
As I understand it, if you are planning to leave the company and want to maximize your insurance coverage, you should leave on the second, third, fourth, etc., of the month.
