Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

Where do you see BD in six to twelve months?

Try to be at least a bit positive.

@158 You meant the well over 110 BD excellence new hires that TP has hired recently? Yeah don't we know what that means...

Whichever executive came up with BD Excellence really needs to re-assess. If you got rid of the Execs involved in BD Excellence we likely save more than what we gain.

@14j I don’t know why we pay so much to another useless Capgemini. It seems TGS kickback scheme is alive and kicking.

I see BD being sold off. I think that will happen before CEO ever gets replaced. I think the diagnostic/bioscience spin just makes the rest ripe for purchase. Guess we will see.

@cz good to hear they are pulling more back from Genpact - but - Genpact isn't the problem - its the people running the commercial operations space - nearly everyone in GBS is USELESS and should be replaced

@fk I couldn't take it. I tried to listen but she was awful in every single aspect. Finally had to mute my speakers.

To everyone who remembers BD’s golden days — I feel your heartbreak. It’s painful watching how a few disastrous hires managed to poison what once was a place of pride and excellence. Unless BD puts an end to the blatant nepotism and the shameless kickback culture that’s eating it from the inside, there’s no real hope for revival. I hate to be this blunt, but the truth is harsh: far too many of our so-called “leaders” couldn’t even hold their own as individual contributors. What passes for leadership here is nothing short of a tragedy.

@fk with a cacophonous voice...

It was all hebrew to my ears, hope at least she understood what she was talking about. Is she a relative of someone in the 'leadership'?

Sounds like the distraction of some kind of re-branding effort might be in the works. Whatever that means.

@e2 that Edge associate has to be some so called leader’s relative; a regular hire generally has better IQ.

That town hall was a 1 hour of productivity wastage, could be a 10 slide presentation.

@dz It’s as if they put a 3rd year Edge associate in a time machine 30 years into the future.

@OP When I listen to Tom, it feels like leadership is just about lying with a straight face 😊

@d0 I was "the replacement" for a team with multiple people getting ready to retire - ready to run through a brick wall for the company and be the next 20 year employee. Got laid off instead :)

Hopefully Tom will be out and we can begin to see stock price increase. His entire EVP suite has left he has eliminated everyone except his buddy who is now the chief revenue officer. When will he self reflect and realize that the problem is still here .. we’re hopefully moving in the direction of him leaving and new leadership taking over hopefully stronger better leadership because leadership is where bd fails miserably. It’s either pre Madonnas , or passive tone deaf useless VP’s who are so out of the touch with the plants and the business. It’s time to
Clean up and it’s time for Tom to leave.

I wish BD would offer early retirement options for those having been with company for over 20 years. Allow us to train a replacement and give us a good severance. It would save them overall as they could hire at cheaper rate, less pto days, etc. in some cases they could hire two people for price of one

BD will pull back some jobs from genpact as they are not providing expected results. customers and employees are dissatisfied with lengthy delays, failure to perform said duties, loosing revenue, etc. This is a positive. Already happened in a few select areas but more will be brought back as this offshoring did NOT help business

Anticipate sales decline due to poor quality, customer dissatisfaction and FDA warning letters. BD is not listening to the VOC our customers or our associates VOA. Focus is on AI and offshoring to max stock price. Quality left with integrity some time ago.
